Immagini delle grandi voci di un passato remoto si sovrappongono a quelle di interpreti moderni, capaci di proseguire una tradizione gloriosa, ricreandola e rinnovandola.

A journey through a jukebox, the biggest in the world: Naples, a casket of songs and singers, musicians and poets, real and legendary characters are the protagonists of a film which travels through one of the most beautiful, famous and controversial metropolises in the world. Images of the great voice of a remote past are superimposed onto those of modern players, capable of carrying on a glorious tradition, recreating it and renewing it.

John Turturro (Brooklyn, 1957), è un attore, regista e sceneggiatore statunitense di origine italoamericana. Partecipa come comparsa in “Toro scatenato” di Martin Scorsese (1980). Negli oltre 70 film in cui ha recitato, Turturro ha mostrato tutto il suo istrionismo e la sua versatilità, sia come personaggio secondario che come protagonista, lavorando con registi del calibro di Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Joel ed Ethan Coen, WoodyAllen, Francesco Rosi e Michael Cimino. Nel 2010 viene presentato a Venezia il documentario “Passione“.

John Turturro (Brooklyn, 1957), he is an American actor, director, andscreenwriter. He appeared as an extra in Martin Scorsese’s “Raging Bull” (1980). In his more than 70 films, Turturro has shown all his acting ability and versatility in both supporting and leading roles, working with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Joel and Ethan Coen, Woody Allen, Francesco Rosi, and Michael Cimino, and playing a variety of very different and at times highly memorable characters.In 2010, he returned to Italy for the Venice Film Festival with his musical documentary “Passione”.
