Agosto 1975. Una ragazzina di tredici anni viene restituita alla famiglia cui non sapeva di appartenere. All’improvviso perde tutto della sua vita precedente: una casa confortevole e l’affetto esclusivo riservato a chi è figlio unico e si ritrova in un mondo estraneo appena sfiorato dal progresso e a dover condividere lo spazio di una casa piccola e buia con altri cinque fratelli. 

August, 1975. A thirteen years-old girl is returned to the family she didn’t know she belonged to. Suddenly she lose severy thing from her previous life: a comfortable house, an exclusive love being the only-child, and she finds herself in a stranger world lightly touched by progress, and being obliged to share the space of a little and dark home with other five brothers. 

Giuseppe Bonito, (Polla 1974). Dopo aver lavorato a lungo come aiuto regista, nel 2012 esordisce con il film Pulce non c’è Premio speciale della Giuria al Festival di Roma – Sezione Alice nella Città. Bonito ha ottenuto la candidatura come miglior regista esordiente ai Nastri d’Argento. Nel 2020 dirige il film Figli – scritto da Mattia Torre – con Valerio Mastandrea e Paola Cortellesi, Nastro d’Argento come miglior commedia e Nastro d’Argento per la migliore interpretazione in un film commedia a Valerio Mastandrea e Paola Cortellesi. L’Arminuta è il suo terzo film. 

Giuseppe Bonito, (Polla 1974). After having worked for a long time as co-director, debuted in 2012 with the movie Pulce non c’è jury’s special award at Festival di Roma – Alice nella Città. Bonito has been candidate to Nastri D’Argento as best debuting film director. In 2020 he has directed the movie Figli – written by Mattia Torre – with the actors Valerio Mastandrea and Paola Cortellesi, Nastro d’Argento as best comedy and Nastro D’Argento for the best interpretation to Va-lerio Mastandrea and Paola Cortellesi. L’Arminuta is his third film.
