Il carcere, per Giacinto, è tutto tranne che un buco nero: figlio di due detenuti, lui dentro un carcere non solo ci è nato, ma ci è pure cresciuto. Infanzia, adolescenza, candeline dei 18 anni: quella è “casa”, nonostante le sbarre, e Jack, il capo dei secondini, è un burbero e premuroso “papà”.

For young Giacinto, prison is like home. It would indeed be more correct to say that prison is his only home, because the little boy has been born in prison and has spent his entire life there with his mother. As soon as the prison doors close behind him, the young man feels that life outside of its walls is not for him. At the first opportunity, he escapes from the outside back to prison, his home, where he can feel safe from the dangerous outside world.

Andrea Magnani (Rimini, 1971) Ha lavorato a numerose serie Tv, tra le quali “Cops – Una banda di poliziotti”. Nel 2017 esordisce alla regia con “Easy – Un viaggio facile facile”, presentato in concorso al 70esimo Locarno Film Festival. Ha partecipato a più di 100 festival in giro per il mondo ed è stato candidato a due David di Donatello, tra cui miglior regista esordiente. Nel 2019 scrive il lungometraggio “Paradise”, presentato in anteprima al Busan Film Festival e al Torino Film Festival.

Andrea Magnani (Rimini, 1971) He has worked on numerous TV series. In 2017 he made his directorial debut with Easy, which was presented in competition at the 70th Locarno Film Festival.
