Partenope is a woman named after her city, but she is neither siren nor myth. We follow the events of her life through the decades, from the 1950s to the present day, between Capri and Naples.

Paolo Sorrentino (Napoli, 1970) Regista , sceneggiatore, produttore. Nel 2001 firma il suo primo lungometraggio, L’uomo in più, selezionato alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. Nel 2004 Le conseguenze dell’amore e del 2006, L’amico di famiglia, entrambi entrano a far parte del concorso al Festival di Cannes. Nel 2008, con Il Divo torna a Cannes dove vince il Premio della Giuria. Cinque anni più tardi dirige La grande Bellezza, con il quale si aggiudica l’Academy Award, il Golden Globe e il BAFTA come Miglior Film Straniero.

Paolo Sorrentino (Naples, 1970) Director, screenwriter, producer. In 2001 he made his first feature film, One man up, selected at the Venice Film Festival. In 2004 The Consequences of Love and 2006, The Family Friend, both entered competition at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2008, with Il Divo, he returned to Cannes where he won the Jury Prize. Five years later he directed The Great Beauty, with which he won the Academy Award, the Golden Globe and the BAFTA for Best Foreign Film.
