Futura è un’inchiesta collettiva svolta da Pietro Marcello, Francesco Munzi e Alice Rohrwacher che ha lo scopo di esplorare l’idea di futuro di ragazze e ragazzi tra i 15 e i 20 anni incontrati nel corso di un lungo viaggio attraverso l’Italia. Un ritratto del Paese osservato attraverso gli occhi di adolescenti che raccontano i luoghi in cui abitano, i propri sogni e le proprie aspettative tra desideri e paure.

Futura is a truly collective work, where collectiveness is at the service of a whole project. It explores what boys and girls from 15 to 20 think about the future, through a series of interviews filmed during a long journey across Italy. It is a portrait of the country, as seen through the eyes of a group of teens who talk about the places they live in, their dreams, expectations, desires and fears.

Pietro Marcello (Caserta, 1976) Realizza cortometraggi (Carta e Scampia) e dal 2004 documentari tra cui Il cantiere, premiato al Festival Libero Bizzarri, e La Baracca che racconta dei senzatetto di Napoli. Nel 2009 realizza il documentario drammatico La bocca del lupo, vincitore del Torino Film Festival e il Nastro D’Argento, il David di Donatello e il premio Vittorio De Seta al BIF&ST. Al Festival di Venezia presenta due documentari, tra cui il documentario su Marco Bellocchio. Nel 2019 partecipa alla Mostra del cinema di Venezia con il documentario Martin Eden.

Pietro Marcello (Caserta, 1976) He directs short film (Carta and Scampia) and from 2004 he directs documentaries among which Il Cantiere, awarded at the Libero Bizzarri Festival, and La Baracca, a documentary that tells the story of homeless person in Naples. In 2009 he makes the dramatic documentary La bocca del lupo, winner of the Torino Film Festival and the Nastro D’Argento, the David of Donatello and the award Vittorio De Seta at the Bif&st. At the Venice Festival he presents two documentaries, including the documentary about Marco Bellocchio. In 2019 he participates in the Venice Mostra del cinema with the documentary Martin Eden.

Francesco Munzi (Roma, 1969) Regista, Autore. Vincitore del Premio Navicella Cinema Italiano, RdC Awards 2005, nell’ambito della nona edizione del Festival del Cinema Spirituale “Tertio Millennio”, per “Saimir” (2004). Nel 2008 presenta il film “Il resto della notte” alla 40° “Quinzaine des realisateurs” del festival di Cannes.

Francesco Munzi (Rome, 1969) a director and author. He won the award Premio Navicella Cinema Italiano, RdC Awards 2005, in the ninth edition of the Festival del Cinema Spirituale “Tertio Millennio”, thanks to his work “Saimir” (2004). In 2008 he presents the film Il resto della notte at the 40° “Quinzaine des realisateurs” of the Cannes Festival.

Alice Rohrwacher (Fiesole, 1982) è una regista e sceneggiatrice conosciuta per Lazzaro felice (2018). Corpo Celeste (2011) e Le Meraviglie (2014). La pluripremiata attrice italiana ed il celebre artista francese, hanno creato un omaggio alla sempre più difficile realtà del mondo contadino italiano.

Alice Rohrwacher (Fiesole, 1982) She is a director and writer, know for Lazzaro felice (2018), ( Corpo Celeste (2011) and Le meraviglie (2014). The award-winning Italian actress and the famous French artist have made a tribute to the increasingly difficult reality of the Italian farming world.
