N.I.C.E.City of Florence Award"Donatella Carmi Bartolozzi"
In addition to Italian cinema abroad, N.I.C.E. Festival has been promoting the city of Florence, the Tuscany Region, its territory and its culture for over twenty years. It does so through the presentation (often as première) of films produced or shot in Tuscany, and above all, through the institution of the N.I.C.E. City of Florence Award “Donatella Carmi Bartolozzi“.
Every year, the Award represents the conclusion of the international journey of the N.I.C.E. Festival in the USA, Russia and Strasbourg, an event that brings back to Florence the films most appreciated by North-American audiences during the N.I.C.E. Festival USA of the same year, in an award ceremony that has been held since 2016 at the Cinema La Compagnia in Florence.
The juries of the event are composed as follows: Student Jury / Audience Award “Angela Caputi” / US Audience Award / Technical Jury.
From the 2020 edition, all the films in competition at the N.I.C.E. Festival USA will be screened. The winning film will be decided by a vote of the American public, mainly composed of professionals and students of cinema and Italian studies.
